Hi All,
The 440 and radios of that ilk use the VS-1. The 850 and radios of that ilk
use the VS-2. These radios are getting old, and the VS-1 and VS-2 are hard
to get.
The 570 and 2000 use the VS-3. The VS-3 is still available, and the 570 is
a robust radio. It was discontinued due to the ban on leaded solder.
The newer 480 and 590 use the VGS-1.
I would personally go for a 570 or 480. There are accessibility reviews on
the Active Elements site. The 480 has the better voice chip, but is a
remote head with a separate main unit.
