Howard,

I had a milestone 311 that appeared to fail due to a battery problem. In fact, the circuit board had failed rendering the thing a write-off.

I had a similar thing happen to a milestone 312 earlier this year and, again it was attributed to a circuit board fault.

Well, Access to Work were prepared to buy me another one. If I were buying it for myself, I would have considered very carefully.

I like the small size and the fact that I can arrange audio files in a structured way. This has proven very useful for my work, thus making the Milestone the preferred device. Other devices such as the Victor Stream seem to do most (if not all now) that the Milestone does and I'd hazard it is more robust, backed by a rather more understanding organisation. That's a personal view (HI).

Cheers & 73,

Terry
