After looking at the recent exchanges here, and playing with 
his demo for about 5 minutes, I just bought the software 
bundle from N3FJP.

I am sure it will be awhile before I get the radio and 
computer talking to each other, but at least the logging 
will be in the correct format for whatever contest I decide 
to play in.
