I have a 718, but it is a little strange how it addresses memories, hard 
for me to gell if i'm in memory mode.  If you get one, get the qsyer, 
makes things much nicer.  It is a very nice radio for the money, but 
they don't intigrate the voice as well as Kenwood does.  On mine, I had 
to turn the voice all the way up and even then sometimes had to turn rf 
gain down to ququiet the back ground noise.  The volume control for the 
voice is hard to find and a very very small pot on the main board.  All 
that said though, the 718 is a good radio as far as it goes, but if you 
could get a Kenwood with built in tuner, I'd go that way, better speech 
intigration.
