I used one of these when I lived in southern Iowa.  It was a very decent
antenna.  I have a new one now that if the weather ever warms up enough we
will be putting up here.

I know of several hams around here who use them.
They have had pritty good luck with it.
I have not tryed one myself how ever.
But there are alot of them out there.
