You guys are really making me want to get things up and running here. I've
only had the portable antennas for the last 5 years, or so, but we've just
moved into a new house, and, as soon as I can make it happen, I hope to put
up a horizontal loop, 25 to 30 feet above ground.
I don't want to miss the peak of the solar cycle.

in upstate New York and a number of stations simplex from CA. That is
usually around 9 or 10 a.m. PST then the band opens again later in the

All I have on 12 for an antenna is the G5RV at 40 feet. But it was enough
to work Switzerland and Luxembourg this morning on SSB. Lots of good CW
there, too. Oh, and the W1AW station in Idaho. Still looking for Kentucky.
