Hi Howard #3,
I have good news. I didn't know that the one key was the power level. Thus,
last evening I located a QSO in progress, and checked the power level before
transmitting. Sure enough, it was set to the lowest level. Smile. That has
to say something about the repeaters in this area that they can pick up that
weak of a signal, even if the audio is not readable. Anyway, at full power I
was able to have a good QSO. The reports from everyone in the group were 59.
It looks like I am back in business.
My thanks to everyone who gave suggestions.
God bless, and 73,
Mark

Mark,
Do you have the radio set to high power and how far are you from the
repeaters you are trying to access?
Press the #1 key until you hear a low tone and this is high power,
approximately 5 watts.
Also, where do you have your dipole positioned?
