There should be a setting in basics to uncheck jaws starting first.

Subject: how do I keep jaws from running

I bought a used lap top for a friend and it has jaws demmo on it. I know
I can get into startup, but is there a way to tell jaws not to run at boot
up? I run window-eyes, so not all that familiar with jaws. Might sighted
friend doesn't need speech.
