Your reasoning has long been discussed since the beginnings of DX spotting.
At one time with local VHF nets, then the packet cluster, and now with the
variety of DX spotting sites.

If there is software that helps you locate a specific station I am unaware
of it. The next step after having a program find you specific stations
would be an app that would work that station for you, so you just have to
turn the computer on, along with the station, then go on vacation for a
month during which time the computer is working thousands of stations in
your absence.

I know to try that, but I am specifically interested in the software to =
do it, especially for logbook of the world and simp logging. Local hams =
can tell me about logging software they like, but they have now ay to =
know if it is accessible.

on a side note, it is nice to listen to the rain it is relaxing being =
curled up with the buetooth keyboard an dmy kitties
