Hi all:

Last week when I tested the KW-1000 HF amp, it got pretty warm during the
CW tune up. Not to hot to touch but pretty hot. I wouldn't wanna leave my
hand on the top. I could feel the hot air blown up the top and the little
sight I have, allowed me to see the Orange glow of the 2 572B tubes. My
previous amps never got that warm unless I turned on the processor and they
ran 3-500Zs. To my knowledge, my buddies proc wasn't on.
Is all this normal? My Almer says an amp isn't making power if it isn't
warm. Lol
