Their is an optional rj12 cable that goes from the control head of the 480 
to the body of the radio.  With mike and paddle extention cables, operation 
from the coffee table, easy chair, or couch is equally pheasible.  If you do 
a lot of listening, this can be especially fun.
An external speaker is also a nice addition to the station.
The internal tuner will tune an antenna with a 6/1 SWR.  Almost everything 
talks, except for the internal power and SWR meter.
