Mike,

Sounds like you had fun in the contest.   I can't speak to the K3, but 
the 590 speaks a lot: s meter, freq, power, swr,  compression and alc 
levels, as well as menus and some other junk, like filter settings, etc.

Also tells you which VFO you are on (A or B) and  preceeds it with an 
"S" if in split mode.

I'm not a lottery guy, but if that's where you spend your money, I hope 
you win.
