Hi Howard,

While we're on the KX3 topic, a friend of mine bought a KX3 about a month
ago. He has also bought a kit that replaces the sides of the KX3and adds
vertical carrying handles either side, and these give a measure of
protection to the protruding controls. The final touch is the clip on
Perspex cover. It latches into the handles and gives complete protection.

He also bought a Perspex stand that angles the radio toward the operator.
Great if you're sighted and want to see the display more easily.

I think the new sides and handles are sanctioned by Elecraft, and everything
is beautifully made!

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID

Glad to help, but this one was not new, so I don't know how far it is from
the defaults.
So far, its an entirely new operating system. I put the ts-480 back in line

for straight key night.
Jim and Jerry and Buddy know much more than I do. I would also like to hear

Rob's story, creating a ham-pod for it.
