Indeed, John.  In fact, David Seville did all the chipmunk voices.  They are 
exactly doubled, as I discovered when I slowed my old talking book machine 
down to 16 and 2 thirds rpm with a chipmunks album on it.  Dave's speaking 
voice was nearly impossible to understand but he sang Simon, Theodore and 
Alvin in perfect 3-part harmony.  At 16, It was easy to tell it was him 
doing the singing.  He got a lot of milage out of that chipmunk idea.
