Our late friend Kevin  K7RX (SK) had gotten one of the Sp Expert amps 
prior to his death.   I think he started with an ALS -600 that smoked 
and he got his money back from MFJ.  For a few years he ran a THP 500 
watt amp (predecessor to the one I have) and sold it to a ham in Poland 
before going with the  Italian amp.    He did require sighted help to 
get things set up.   He also had some problem getting the right data 
cable from the US distributor, but all worked out in the end.   Sadly he 
didn't live long enough to enjoy it to it's fullest.

Just going from memory here, but I think that when the Expert line came 
to the States a few years ago they had trouble   getting set up with 
someone to  do distribution/service. I think they went through a few 
before ending up here:
