You most likely have I E 11 now.  With Window-Eyes, if we have an 
empty-sounding dialog box from a new program, we must press the dialog 
reading command, ctrl-shift-W, twice so an alternate method will be used.  I 
don't know whether JAWS now requires you to hit Insert-B twice for these or 
not.

When I hit Alt H and arrow down, it says "what's new in Internet Explorer
11".  But, when I arrow down further to about internet explorer, and hit
enter on that option, nothing happens.  Nor does anything happen when I do
alt H and then a, which seems to work for other programs.

Right now, I have MSN as my main home page, so I wonder if that's why the
about function is not working properly.

Perhaps you are right;  I might have Internet explorer 11 now, if my
computer was automatically updated without my knowledge.

Did all this just start?  Are you sure you are still on IE 9?

Mine went to IE 11  automatically a week or 2 ago.  In Internet
Explorer, hit alt-H and arrow down.   One of the choices will say
"what's new in IE whatever version.  Or keep arrowing down to "about"
and hit enter and this will also tell you what version you are on.
