The Alpha loop still costs $299. Well, you can get it for $199 without the carrying bag and 6 foot tripod. It’s apparently built with sections that bolt together. There’s a new version with a larger gear reduction ($349 instead of $299), which should make tuning easier, if perhaps slower, taking more revolutions of the loop tuning control.
