Gerry,
It does take a bit of reading but it can be done. All of the menu settings
can be changed via CAT commands. The Elecraft KX3 Utility has a "Command
Tester / KX3 Macros" tab. From there, you can enter the text for the desired
CAT commands. For example, MN123; selects menu item number 123. MP321; sets
that menu item's value to 321. You end with MN255; which takes the KX3 out
of menu mode. So, stringing that all together, "MN123;MP321;MN255;" selects
menu item 123, sets it to 321, and exits the menu.

All of the CAT commands are in the K3/KX3 Programmer's Reference manual on
the Elecraft site.
