There have been a lot of improvements made to the ipod since the second
generation.
The plextalk pocket does a great job with internet radio. One thing I wish
it did, when listening to streaming radio, there is currently no way of
seeing the song title and artist while a song is playing. I can do this
with the tunein radio app on the ipod.
With the plextalk pocket, there is currently no way of updating all of the
podcast feeds at the same time. I can do this with the downcast app on my
ipad mini.

My IPod is the second generation unit, I don't know anything about the newer
models. I'm staying away from Apple as they are more proprietary than
microsoft or Google.
