You can also rip your cd's on to your computer and play them through iTunes
over the apple tv with home sharing!

You have to extract (rip) all your CD's onto a computer then load them into
the Apple cloud and use their "music match" feature. It's a $25 a year
subscription. Google Apple music match to read about it.
