Congratulations on that good score, Lloyd.  I've never liked SS too much so 
never tried a whole contest.  I ran 8 hours once with a 5 watt radio and 
worked 350 stations in 8 hours but I was just playing around with an old TH2 
triband with those 2 elements on each band at 20 feet on a short 3 foot 
tripod at the peak of the roof.  The CQWWCW contest coughed up some mighty 
fine band conditions for as poor as the bands have been for so many years 
but it sounds like you had fun.
