Howard, I have been using Microsoft's Windows Security, free from
Microsoft for maybe a couple of years. There has recently been
chat about it not protecting your computer, but I think that's in
the Malware part of it and you can get other software that will
work to get rid of Malware. I have been using Windows Security
ever since I stopped using AVG and it has worked fine. Just my
two cents. Jim WA6EKS

Yesterday avast updated its program and deffinitions. Now it
thinks that
any form of system access is so suspicious that it shuts down
your computer.
It also doesn't like text cloaner. Consiquently, I no longer
like avast.
The program interface has become innaccessible, even with jaws.
So besides
micrsoft security essentials, which is very weak, does anybody
have a
recommendation for a free anti--virus program that is both strong
and
excessible?
I hear for purchase, nod-32 is good.
