Pat:
Along the lines you are suggesting here, I have thought of lengthening the
break-in delay on the TS590, to better accommodate CW sending. But, of
course, I wouldn't want to lengthen it out too much, especially for a
contest situation.
But, if this is the kind of approach you are thinking about, it is certainly
something to play around with when I get time.

Subject: Re: Amplifier Question
Tom,
I don't know the particular logistics of making this happen but wouldn't the
amplifier (keyup) be at a minimum current state? So, is it necessary to
switch the amp on and off between characters? I guess QSK wouldn't be
possible under those conditions, but it should shut up the offensive realy
noise. And this from a guy who has never owned an amp. However, with the
hole you were making in the band yesterday, I am sure tempted!!
