Wow, very interesting article, thanks for posting that.  I worked 
Tom only once on 20 meters probably in 1975 or 76 from my Qth in 
Walnut Creek CA.  I may have a recording of that QSO somewhere 
but have no idea if I can find it.  I would rather have 
recordings of contacts then QSL cards.  Which reminds me that I, 
we should always keep digital recorders on hand for such things
