GOD PROVED SCIENTISTS WRONG
- Imam Fatty
The State House Mosque imam, Abdoulie Fatty, said last weekend that those who
prophesied that the
world would come to an end on new year's eve have been proved wrong by God.
"God proved scientists wrong because they predicted that the new
millennium would mark the end of the universe. They don't know that that is a
hidden secret to even prophets - only Allah himself knows about that," the
outspoken imam told his congregation of worshippers.
The imam, who was delivering his Friday sermon, noted that "the end of the
world would come as a surprise but Prophet Muhammed pointed out all the
signs; the first is the seal of prophethood and poor people competing to
erect lofty buildings."
He asked why people should believe scientists more than the Creator of the
scientists, adding that though war will be rampant in the last generation,
people should bury the hatchet. "People will kill each other without a
reason. If you cannot stop fighting, then fight without using weapons," Imam
Fatty said.
He called on Muslims to refrain from giving their daughters in marriage to
non-Muslims, especially 'toubabs'.
