I thought antenna analyzers worked fine as is because you tune 
for maximum noise and that's your resonant point, but having 
never owned one, I really don't know.  On a different topic, I 
called DXCC yesterday to ask about using it on the 60 meter band 
and whomever I talked too said that you needed to use an outboard 
tuner and also take the "gas cartridge" out of the antenna 
circuit at the feed point.  I haven't examined the antenna yet so 
don't know what he was referring too, but it sounds interesting 
and I will probably get an outboard tuner soon.  So how about 
that for mixing up threads of discussion! Jim WA6EKS
