Hi and thanks Colin, I think Butch just bought a Kenwood TMV71A
from a friend of mine but maybe I'm confused. Been pretty warm
here lately. I have gigs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all should
be fun other than a fair amount of traveling to get to them.
Actually, it's not that bad, just that I'm spoiled from living a
lot closer last year where-as now I have to go twice the distance
and take the rail transit BART system to get to where I can meet
another musician.
Will have to look at the reviews on the 990. Heck, I haven't
even got my Ts-2000 powered up or antennas in place yet. That's
next! 73, Jim WA6EKS

it's like a 590, but 400 more...
lol
it's the newest flag ship 160 to 6 meter HF rig from Kenwood.
Just released in February of this year.
It's on a special introductory sale price everywhere for 8 grand
haha.
Supposed to have the best receiver on the market right now.

What can I say, sold some property, so u p s delivered a new
990
today.
What a rig. It will take me a long time to learn this puppy,
but
speaks
fairly well so far. So far, I'm impressed, but still need lots
of sighted
help with key descriptions. Not a small rig, shipping weight
was
68
pounds.
