I think you can change the baud rating in the QSY'er but I don't remember, I 
used to have an FT-817 for a short time with the LDG tuner and QSY'er which 
I still have. I remember trying it but having problems though so maybe you 
can't do that. It's been a while and when I had the FT-817, I never used it 
other than one vacation so never could begin to get comfortable with it so 
sold it around time for my first move a couple years ago.
