Recently my internet provider was bought out by Time Warner Cable. As a
result, I was forced to switch email programs because the one I have been
using for years, Eudora, no longer worked with the new Time Warner Cable
system. I examined the many alternatives and even tested a few to see how
blind user friendly they were, discovering quite quickly that almost none of
them were accessible. I already had MS Office Outlook 2007 on my computer.
While it is fully accessible, it is also a monster of a program; actually
several programs rolled into one. Since it is so accessible, I decided to
bite the bullet and give it a try, forcing myself to learn and memorize a
ton of new commands. Now, that I've used it for a while, I am beginning to
like it; in fact, there are many aspects of Outlook that I actually like a
lot better than Eudora or any of the other program I investigated. There is
a lot to the program, and I am still learning, but if anyone is in a similar
situation and needs any help with it, I'll be glad to help you with it.

This is why I am still working with XP machines. I wish there was a simple
e-mail client like Outlook Express. Simple, non cluttered and works fine as
far as I am concerned.
I have looked at Thunderbird but couldn't figure it out. Guess I need to
spend more time with it. Just want to use the computer, not spend a
lifetime trying to figure crap out.
