We have a 440 repeater on a mountaintop west of Phoenix. Hardline is the
only thing that we are allowed to use up there.

I ordered a 75 foot run of Andrew 7/8th inch with a male DIN on one end, and
a female DIN on the other, and the price came to about $700. For the 80
meter rotating dipole that I am preparing to install as an option to my
SteppIr DB36, I will use half inch Andrew as you probably couldn't even
measure the difference between half inch and 7/8th. I have a good friend in
Colorado that feeds his antennas with inch and 5/8th Andrew hard line. A
single DIN connector for that stuff is just shy of $200 each.

Oh, I know about the cost for hard line, 900 MHz that's all that works worth

anything and I have a repeater on the band with inch and 7/8 hard line.
Luckily a good friend and I are partners in that project and he got a good
deal on the hard line and connectors, I'd never afford it.
