Tom, I'm starting to think about a Mac, too. The only thing holding me back
here is money right now. I have some impending expenditures on the horizon,
as you know and so need to conserve right now.

But, I agree, I think Windows 7 made things more clumsy and frustrating than
they need to be. And I don't like having to search all over the place to
find settings and options that I need. John just purchased a Mac and I'm
going to see if he will bring it over so I can haved a look at the various
screens and applications.

Kris

Howard:

At the risk of unnecessarily prolonging this thread, I'll just say that this
is one of many things that absolutely drives me crazy about Windows
operating systems. Specifically, why does everything have to be so
complicated, and why do fundamentally important functions and/or processes
have to be hidden somewhere in obscure lists of options that you almost have
to be a computer programmer to understand?

Things like this are causing me to want to switch to a MAC as soon as
possible.

Right now, the only thing that is holding me back is that my University does
everything in Windows, and I worry about significant compatibility issues
between work and home.
