The RX button means you can't transmit. I solved the issue you describe by
changing my setting from direct to public proxy. It works for some and does
not for others; give it a try.

I've had it happen on a conference where I don't even have a transmit
button. That button says something like "RX". I'm wondering if that's
telling me I can't transmit at this time? I do find that, in those
instances, I sometimes don't get a "Transmit" button even when I should be
able to transmit.

Good evening,

There are several things about the EchoLink app on the iPhone.

1. Just use your regular right single finger swipe left and right to move
from component to component on-screen.
2. When you first launch EchoLink, it will auto logon using your preferred
method. I have been most successful using a public proxy. Others have been
successful using the Direct method.
3. When you first launch, you have tabs across the bottom which help you
get to your various parts such as the stations, Favorites, and settings.
4. When you connect to a station, if you already know how to do it, the
connection is established and you hear the friendly tone.
5. Remember that you can place two fingers on screen to quiet VoiceOver.
6. Right swipe your index finger on screen until you find the Transmit
button. At this time you can do any of the following ::
- double tap to begin transmitting if you have the opportunity.
- Don't forget that when you are already transmitting, the end transmission
button is the one that is active and, thus, you can double tap again to end
transmission.
- if you tapped somewhere else, you can just place your index finger on the
top left side of the screen and right single finger swipe right until you
find the button to end transmission

I will provide additional detail soon!

I just installed EchoLink on my iPhone 5, and like Linda, kk4hrg, I would
like to know where the instructions and commands are for it. I assumed that
it would be populated automatically with my favorites from those I have on
my computer's EchoLinks program, but that is not the case.
