Tom,
Sorry I didn't come across you this weekend. I ran 1E from the home
station using a battery and running 5 watts. Some SSB and some CW,
mostly on 40 and 80. My friend N4PN in Macon, GA was surprised how
loud I was with 5 watts on 40 SSB this morning, but of course there were
plenty of stations that didn't hear me.
Didn't do a full time thing and only made about 40 QSO's, but enjoyed it.
