Hi Steve:
Yes, the tone sequences would be something I'd be interested in as well
since I'd like to be able to do that sort of thing from the deck rather than
run back to the shack to switch things around. If you'd like, you can email
me privately at [log in to unmask] and thank you for the help! I've never
done this sort of thing before but have always wanted to ever since I've
seen a few locals do it on air.

Scott,
I've been using crossband with my TH-F6A and TM-V71A for a few years now
with great success. You don't have to do anything to the HT for it to work;
just make sure it's on the correct frequency and hit the PTT. Some people
like to set up a PL tone, but there's really no need unless you're getting
interference that's keeping your crossband repeat open.
I set up some tone sequences in the DTMF memories for turning crossband on
and off, and I'll be glad to tell you what I did if you're interested.
Mostly, I just did it because I could, and I like being able to activate and
deactivate crossband from the HT, but it's really not essential.
Steve
