It's nice when I reply before hitting send. My father was just the opposite,
I had a CB radio in both parents' cars when I was 11, through about 14 and
my father did admit one day to using it now and then on his way in to work
and listening almost daily. He was also very interested in the ham radio
equipment, always asking questions, very supportive, we even talked of
putting up a tower before he got sick. After that I never went through with
it because we couldn't afford to stay in that house with out his income but
we still managed somehow to do it for 11-12 years. I knew any day my mother
would decide to get out and eventually we did and where I'd store a tower
now I have no clue. I'd doubt if that would go over well where I am now
though.
