Dear Stuart,

My sympathies on the diagnosis of your son as autistic.

In addition to the possible celiac link, have you checked into the
melatonin connection? I just finished reading "Melatonin, Your Body's
Natural Wonder Drug" by Russel Reiter and Jo Robinson, (not the book on
the best-seller list, whose authors pirated Robinson's proposal and got
their book published first - this one I read just came out last week and is
much better and more carefully written.) Anyway, there was a very interesting
discussion about the research being done on the response of autistic children to
melatonin supplaments. There is also a lot in the book that might be of interest
to anyone with celiac who is concerned about health and immune system issues.
