Hint: when building and/or adjusting antennas for best performance and
minimum SWR, you should keep the power down to a minimum from your
transmitter to your antenna. You can make adjustments with very low power
as easily as with higher power. Once you have the antenna peaked, you can
crank the power up, but even then, you must stay well within the maximum
power limits of your coax and other components. I burned the final tank
circuit up in one of my rigs once by not following this policy.
