Swr's look good at this point, so no worries there.
I sealed the questionable parts of the coax with some of the butyl-type-tape
I got from Joel at the RF Connection, so I think I'm good there.
Don't know how long the coax will hang in there, but that's my temporary fix
for now.
Will take it one step at a time, and buy a new magmount base if necessary.
Guess it's a small price to pay for a working mobile set-up in the car.
It just gets so much harder these days with fewer potential mounting
surfaces in vehicles, and leasing the car even gives me less to work with.
