But the N3FJP wave files are tied to the Windows default sound card, and 
that's part of the problem.

However, late last night, I did figure out a way to send N3FJP recordings to 
the TS590 sound card, while running Jaws through the Windows default sound 
card.  It means not being able to use  the N3FJP wave files, but I may be 
able to work around that too.

In other words, I might be making progress here.
