Howard,

He is trying to do 2 separate things in N3FJP:
1. Use wave files within the program for navigation around the screen
(apart from JAWS)
2. Send wave files to the radio for transmission.

An apparent flaw in the N3FJP software is that both of these sets of
wave files want to use the same sound card, and there is no way to
direct one set of files to one sound card and the other set to a
different sound card.

While JAWS can be set to use another card, N3FJP always wants to use the
"default" card. Even if more sound cards are added to the system, and
the card that windows considers the "default" is changed, both sets of
N3FJP files will always go to the default card.

I don't even use this software and now I know more about it than I ever
wanted.

BTW, heard you weakly on 40 Saturday. Band wasn't too good between WI
and PA.
