Hi,

Yes, there is a captia and there is an audio link but I found it was hard to 
understand.

You can forward your Gmail mail to a POP3 e-mail client like Outlook 
Express, I do it all the time as it is easier than plowing through all the 
other stuff on the web interface.

The only problem is potentially the captia if you can't understand it.
