hi i have two yaesu ft1000mp's and the radio has many commands and 
can deliver information about settings in the radio.  it has access 
to the menus etc.  i have not looked at other yaesu radios but i bet 
there is plenty of access to be had.  i modified a triple-talk usb 
synthesizer and rewrote the necessary code but had all the access i 
needed to be able to use the radios.  take care, c u mike
