I've also been looking for a pocket voice recorder that is easy to use and
would allow appending to an existing file. I've been useing an older sony
B7 recorder which works well for my needs, but these recorders are not made
any more. Any other suggestions?

Subject: Question on Digital Voice Recorders

Hi All,

This one is actually for my job but we are looking for advice and I know
some of you on here actually work with adaptive technology while others, of
course, use it. Please send replies you may have for me to my work address
which is:

Here's the story. For several years now, as a mid price solution we have
issued to clients the Olympus DM-620 with the voice guidance system.
However, in sitting down to work with one yesterday, a colleague and I
discovered they have modified the system just enough to make it much more
difficult to access for a blind person, especially a total such as me. Of
course, the Victor Reader Stream is a distinct possibility but is twice the
cost of the Olympus.

Do any of you have any suggestions concerning an easily operated digital
voice recorder but that has a somewhat more sophisticated file system and so
on than something like the "Talk to the Wilson" simple recorders? I would
like to see it be more reasonable in cost than the Victor Reader Stream but
with some of it's sophistication. If so, please share your suggestions with
me at the work address given above.

Thank you in advance for any ideas or suggestions you might have to assist
us. Take care one and all and very 73.

Kevin :)
