Junior,
I'm sorry to hear about your antenna.
My bet is that either a hungry squirrel developed a taste for the cord
that held up the loop, or that said cord deteriorated in the sunlight,
then gave up the ghost.
Either way, it's a nuisance.
My 40 meter inverted V took a tumble yesterday when the oak branch
that held up the center parted company with its tree. I have upcoming
tower work anyway, so there's one more project for a good sling shot
operator that day.
