Yup, upon further thought, I think Gale and Steve are right, in that an 
external keyer would go into the smaller straight key jack, so I apologize 
if I created confusion earlier.  I use paddles, so use the larger phono jack 
for the rig's internal keyer.

At any rate, you need a stereo, not a mono plug.
