I need to re-do my HF antenna because I have moved. Where do you
find information on the Mystery antenna? How does it perform on
60 meters? Jim WA6EKS

Fred,
I have used the Mystery Antenna for the past three years or so
and
have been pretty pleased with it. The twenty meter performance
is
better than the G5RV I used to have, but the new installation is
better as well, so the comparison may not be valid. It works
well of
forty and reasonably well on seventy-five. Above twenty it does
well
although I've not used it a lot on the higher bands, although ten
works quite well.
All in all I believe you would be pleased. The antenna is at
about
thirty-five feet, quite straight, and there is perhaps fifty feet
of
coax after the twin lead.
Hope this helps.

Have any of you guys used the mystery antenna? It is simular to
the G5RV
antenna but supposedly much better. It would be nice to have a
single
antenna that covers 10 thru 80 meters. I have tried the G5RV
antenna and I
do not want to try it again as I could never get the SWR down to
an
acceptable level. I am thinking of redoing some of my antennas
including
moving a small Roan tower but I would like to check things out
first to see
if I am really interested in doing it as it will require a lot of
help.
Thanks much,
