for an auto tuner, you need both a coax jumper from antenna 1, or antenna 2
on the radio to the tuner, as well as the 6 pin block connecter from the ATU
port on the back of the radio to the tuner.
For a manual tuner, you obviously don't need the 6 pin block connected.
I am beginning to learn that many many people misunderstand how an auto
tuner actually works.
