There has been considerable discussion regarding the G5RV antenna on this
list with a variety of construction tips and ideas.  I tried to send what I
consider the two best articles on the G5RV, but they are too long to post
directly to this list, and I don't seem to be able to send them to the list
as attachments either.  I want to share these articles with any of you who
are interested in this antenna.  They also might help Tom with some of his
issues; although, it seems he is now on the right track.  Tom, for better
results, I would definitely replace your pieced together coax line with a
single piece; for specific details, I suggest you get these articles and
read them to the very ends.
