Lou,

Sorry to hear about the demise of your antenna.

If you want a store-bought G5RV, I was impressed with the one sold by
w8amz.com that we used at our field day.

We also used his G5RV JR, which played really well on 15 and 20
meters.

As for coax, try RadioWorks, (the Carolina Windom people) or any of
the major ham equipment dealers.

Subject: RG8X

My G5RV was destroyed in a severe thunder storm yesterday, so I'd like
some
opinions on the best place to buy good quality RG8X coax so I can get
something back up. I had an order in with the wireman for another
project
but they were out of stock and, after waiting for a month and a half,
I've
decided to look elsewhere. Thanks. lou
