Patrick,

I don't think that was the case with mine.  My batteries are only a few 
months old.  After I got your message, I took one out and it read 1.42 volts 
on my talking VOM, so I don't think that is what caused my lockup after the 
power came back on.

Jerry and all I think the problem may be the fact that the batteries are =
so weak they can't provide the battery backup so they just need to be =
replaced.  That'll probably keep the display from freezing up like it's =
doing now.  The batteries seem to be the culprit not the radio itself.
